We had a quiet Independence Day on Friday. We didn't even go buy any fireworks! But we did get plenty of yummy food to grill. First we grilled hot dogs, for lunch. Then I grilled skewers of green bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions to go with the oh, so pretty looking ribeye steaks for dinner. I also baked some huge (!) Texas size Taters, and we had Bush's Honey Baked Beans. All the while I was drinking a delicious mix of Arbor Mist Red Moscato Cherry, 7up, and some maraschino cherries (and a splash of cherry juice), and it was like the BEST cherry limeade, but with a little kick! For dessert, what else but Apple Pie! I got an apple pie from Schwan's Home Service, and it was so, so good! The perfect 4th of July day of grillin' and nomming!
My patriotic Cherry Limeade with Arbor Mist Red Moscato Cherry, 7up, and maraschino cherries, with a splash of cherry juice. SOOO GOOD! All the food was so tasty. I just LOVE my patriotic set of glasses I found at my local thrift shop. I saw them around the fall, during their twice yearly store wide 1/2 off clearance, where they get rid of everything in the store so it can be cleaned thoroughly. And they were 25 cents for a set! I love those finds. :)
I hope everybody had a fantastic 4th of July! :)
