My first two Diamond Candles and Rings. The first one, Gingerbread Latte, smelled so delicious, like sweet gingerbread baking in the oven, and and yummy cup of latte, steaming and waiting to be devoured. I loved my first Diamond Candle, and have fallen HARD for them. It's an obsession now. I had heard of Diamond Candle before, through other Bloggers. But when I saw a deal on (I want to say Fab, but I can't find the confirmation e-mail, so I'm not sure) Fab for Buy one get one free coupon code I was all over that! I got two Gingerbread Latte scented and gave the other to A.J.'s mom. She loved it too! I ordered several varieties of scents for Christmas, keeping a few for myself, like my second one here, Mistletoe. It smelled fresh and crisp, and I liked it a lot! The rings from both weren't stamped with any markings inside to indicate a pricey ring, but I keep hoping. I do like the rings, and am glad they are sizes I can wear!
My third Diamond Candle and ring. This smelled so fresh, woodsy, and slightly sweet. Cinnamon Pinecone was part of the Christmas order, when I ordered so many, I gifted several to Aunts, and my Mama and A.J.'s mom. They were a huge hit! Everybody was surprised and loved them, I even had cousins planning on trying to take them off their moms hands! The ring is Amethyst colored stone, with a silver band, with clear accent stone along the side.
I had ordered this Library of Flowers bubble bath in The Forest scent from Amazon. The retailer was Library of Flowers, and I thought it was cool that even though I ordered through Amazon, they sent a sampler of different gorgeous and wonderful smelling lotions! There were several different ones, and I thought it was a nice touch. Also I love The Forest scent just as much as I love Wildflower & Fern, the first bottle I received from a PopSugar Box last year.
Here's a pic of my pile of presents that was waiting for me in my chair on my Birthday a few weeks ago! A.J. is SOOO thoughtful and I LOVE him! :) And he picked out the too cute Hello Kitty wrapping paper, he knows me all to well. And there was a not easy to wrap present, so I got the velcro top Christmas box. Hey, it was still sitting handy, cause I haven't put all the Christmas stuff up at that point!
And this literally sums up how it is with all the posts on Facebook of local moms who were excited to let their kids have their "Snow Day". Yes snow is falling from the sky. No it's not hindering anything. LoL. A few places WERE getting some sleet with their snow, so that legit, but big fat flurries....
And within a few days I got another e-mail from Influenster letting me know I was one of the top Dr. Scholl's for Her Badge holders from the Rose VoxBox, for completing the challenges I won a $10. Amazon Gift Card! Awesome-sauce! I was ecstatic to see this e-mail and keep telling everybody about it! :)
Here's a pic of the Valentine's Day gifts I'm wrapping up for A.J.'s Aunts and cousins! The e.l.f. lip gloss sets and Nail polish were in the 90% Christmas clearance at Target, and I snagged a dozen of the lip glosses for $0.39 each! And the Nail polish sets were only $0.49 each, but there were only 4 left. But I bought them out and got some GREAT Valentine's Day gifts! The wrapping paper was only $0.25, Target 90% Christmas Clearance also. The Bodycology lotion and hand sanitizer set was only like $1.00 or something. And to top it off they are getting Diamond Candles in great Valentine's scents, Be Mine and Romance.
My Valentine's Day gifts! Chocolate covered Strawberries from a local bakery that I adore! Roses in a beautiful vase, and OMG a chest freezer! I've wanted one for about, oh, I don't know, 10 years! :) It's got Schwan Home Service written all over it! I love and totally miss Schwan foods, since i haven't had the space for all their great stuff, I've really been missing it!
This isn't really related to anything, but this little bottle of e.l.f. nail polish SURVIVED the washer! I accidentally left it in the pocket of my robe, and decided hey, I need to wash that robe...I remembered after it had been hanging on the line for over an hour....Luckily it hadn't busted in the pocket. That would have been a gigantic mess. Check Your Pockets!!!
So check out this email I received from the past or the FUTURE!!! 12/31/69, on this day, on this New Years Eve, I must have sent myself an email since I've never changed it since I originally made one in like 2000 or something! Maybe 1999...Lol it deleted itself before I was done deleting junk email, so idk.
So, for Mardi Gras I made some baked seasoned butter shrimp. They're super easy to make, and pretty much all you need is frozen shrimp, foil, and seasoning. You can make spicy with Tony's, salt, and garlic powder, or sweet with a little sugar, or basil. I went with the slightly spicy cajun style since it was Mardi Gras!
So heres the shrimpies with the seasoning and just a couple dollops of butter! No measuring, just shake it on, and plop that margarine on it! I went ahead and creased some foil into square packets, no cooking spray or anything. Wrap up in a packet, and place on a baking pan, Bake at 350 for about 20 to 30 minutes. I check on them and sometimes I've packed too many shrimpies into one foil packet and have to cook a little longer. Be sure to use a pan at least an inch tall, incase the butter leaks out of the packets! Yummy!
Here's a new favorite! I bought a Louisiana Cookin' Magazine for Mardi Gras, which I usually do since I LOVE all the various speciality holiday cooking magazine. And I decided on this recipe, Spinach Bread Bites. These were solo yummy and I liked the mix with or with out the bread, it's that good. This picture s pre baked on the bread, it was so good we ate it and I forgot to take pics! Testament to the goodness....
So I haven't cut my hair in about 3 years, and decided since I keep almost dipping it in the toilet when I clean it, and usually keep it up in a bun anyway, that I needed a haircut. My hair was down to my butt, so yeah...past time. The last time my hair was this long, was three years ago when I got it cut the last time. Also I donated my ponytail to Locks of Love, an awesome Non-Profit Organization that uses donated hair to make wigs for children with Cancer!
