This month's Love with Food theme was Fun on the Boardwalk. There was a great assortment of yummy stuff this month, and I'm sure a lot of people were glad that there wasn't any seaweed in this box! (I liked it over a bowl of steamed rice!) I liked seeing the pretzels most! This is the second of three in my Love with Food subscription, and I'm totally in Love with them! I'll definitely be extending my subscription when it ends next month. Love With Food is $12. a month, $36. for 3 months, $66. for 6 months, or $120. for a year. The more you get the more you save! I'm seriously considering the savings for a year subscription. In addition to being a great sample food box, they donate a meal for every box sold! This month, and last month, they donated two meals to Oklahoma. What a great business! I seriously Love Love with Food!

I saw a great deal on FAB (A discount website) for a discount on three months of Pawalla (Referral link). (Right now they have a deal on BarkBox for three months for only $49.00, instead of $72.00!). I paid FAB for the special discount code, and redeem it at Pawallas website. I signed up the little newbie kitten, now named Ham. He's such a little Ham, too. Very playful, and has a bit of a wild streak in him! Toes beware! My feet are already showing signs of kitten attacks. Pawalla sent an introductory box from what I can tell, since it was so similar to Jacks first Pawalla box. The spiny balls and the rabbit treats were the same, but the other stuff was different. Good, Nice to have a few new things, and some duplicate things. I'm actually referring to the rabbit treats, not the spiny balls No cat I've ever tempted with them cared, at all. I originally ordered Bleu Box Gold last month with a $10. off coupon code, which made it only $39.99. But this month, with no code it was $49.99. I pretty much had already decided to cancel before the box even came. It's too much, even for the Silver box which is $24.99/Month. And I'd rather spend my money on other boxes. But by subscribing to Bleu Box, it DID supply me with several pieces that make great gifts for the future! When it did arrive I ended up only liking two pieces. So I definitely canceled. It was quick and easy. I e-mailed them and got a confirmation of cancellation within a few hours. I'm excited to have been able to try out Bleu Box, and maybe in the future will re-subscribe. But for now I'm on to other boxes! :) I received my Unmentionably Cheeky package in the mail on Monday and didn't even receive a shipping notification! I like surprise package days! This month had a cute selection of lace-y panties. For only $8.a month (with Coupon code SUMMER, which locks in the $8. for life, otherwise it'll be $11. at the end of their promotion). Unmentionably Cheeky sends you three pair of their cute panties, in either Small, Medium, or Large. And soon they'll be offering Plus sizes. I was lucky enough to check my e-mail a whole 38 minutes after 8pm on July 1st, the day that the Out of the Box Sampler went on sale. I signed up for the e-mail alerts for it and I'm SO glad I did! I'm surprised that they still had the largest box, and I snatched it up right away. Even though it was $49.99 I was excited to be able to try out that much stuff! The regular size box of 17-20 samples for $25., and the Mini Sampler box with 8 samples for $10.95. (The Mini Sampler box is still available on Out of the Box Sampler's website!) I received my Out Of The Box Sampler last Saturday. WOW!! I LOVE it. As soon as I opened it I was excited about the awesome smell, that unique smell of homemade and handcrafted goodies. It totally reminded my of when I was younger (probably 15 years ago), my mom and Aunt (my dads brothers wife) and her daughter (my BFF growing up) and I would load up and head off to the local Trade Days. My mom (during the rest of the month when we weren't at the Trade Days Weekend) would visit garage sales and estate sales and pick up old vintage and antique stuff and re-sell it. My Aunt sold her handmade wooden signs with hand painted quotes and pictures on them, and other hand painted items. My cousin and I would get to walk around the grounds and look at all the goodies for sale in other stalls. The different vendors had such an amazing array of stuff! I always loved the different candle vendors and getting to smell all the homemade scents. Around the same time my Aunt, cousin, and I were also making (and unsuccessfully selling) candles, soaps, and other bath goodies. This box TOTALLY reminded me of those days! It put a huge smile on my face, giving me a great nostalgic feeling! Speaking of going to the Trade Days, that reminds me of Funnel Cakes. Ah, Funnel Cakes, I still can't eat one to this day. I single-handedly ate 3 whole funnel cakes in a day up there. That's all I wanted to eat, and boy, did I regret it! Seriously, I haven't eaten one since that day. It still makes me feel kinda queesy just thinking about it. :/ Out of the Box Sampler is a Subscription box company that has a limited number of their boxes. It's a first come, first served basis. OOTBS has searched ETSY shops and curated boxes with everything from melts, scrubs, bath & body, tarts, candles, gourmet foods, jewelry, coupons, discounts, cards, and much more! I wasn't sure what to expect from Ambition Box. Their site said 4 to 5 womens products. But I wasn't all that impressed with the stuff I got. It is a good box, just not for me. It seems more of a sub. box for a teens/college students as a gift, or for someone starting out in the amazing world of subscription boxes. For $15./Month, $75./6 Months, or $150./1 Year. I saw reviews for past boxes, and saw the past boxes on their website, which seems to be either disabled, or different, or the link is going to their Facebook page. Not sure what's going on with it at the moment, but here's the review. This is the second of six Blissmo Boxes in my subscription. I was happy with all the goodies they sent this month! As soon as I opened it up I was glad to see the info card, always helpful. I really like this subscription that lets me try out new products that I don't have available around here. I'm also liking the variety of stuff in their boxes, everything from crackers, to gummy candy, to drink mixes. I found out about this great website called Influenster. Perks are just the icing on the proverbial cake. So I received an invite to the "Glamour Look" VoxBox. Of course I opted IN for my very first ever VoxBox! I was so excited to receive that e-mail, I couldn't wait for it to come in the mail! I received it last week and I've been testing all the products and I really like them. Plus I got all this for FREE, just for sharing my opinion on the products after testing them! LOVE IT! See what I mean about it being kind of transparent? When I tested it on my skin, it was light and shimmery, not thick and dark like I was expecting seeing the tub. I like the color it produced. Violet Storm looks like a shimmery purple dust storm. It applied very smooth and evenly. It wasn't sticky, thick, or gross like other "cream" eye colors I've tried before. It didn't melt/run in the Texas heat (100+ the days I've worn it!), and it wasn't all chunky at the end of the day.
A nice full sized cream eye color applicator. I'm glad they sent one for the Violet Storm cream eye color, I didn't have one of these. I've had only bad experiences with "cream" eye shadows in the past. Too creamy, thick, sticky, gross in general. This applied the cream eye color smoothly and evenly, and didn't apply clots of color.
Mary Kay True Dimensions lipstick in Pink Cherie. Really cute silver tube. I couldn't figure out how to open it at first, but when I pushed on the top (!) it pushed the bottom tube down and I pulled the applicator part out. Cute idea, I've definitely had traditional tubes of lipstick open up from being in the bottom of my purse. Not fun to clean out. But this eliminates that problem! This pink looked a little too, well, pink for me. But when I applied it, it actually looked pretty and almost close to my natural lip color, just more shimmery.
Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara in I <3 Black. The applicator has a curved tip, so it makes it easy to apply along the curve of your eye. I only use black mascara, so I'm really glad that's what I'm getting to try! This applied smooth, and not clumpy, or flakey. The lash primer also helped with the smoothness of the application. I've ALWAYS disliked mascara due to the fact that it literally makes my eyelashes fall out. By the dozens. Every time, never fails. Eyelashes get SUPER itchy, and boy those babies just start practically falling out. BUT, surprisingly that Didn't happen with this! I've been avoiding mascara for years, just using it on special occasions. I'm really glad to find a brand of mascara that doesn't make my eyelashes fall out!
*Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
Also these products were provided by Mary Kay complimentary for me to try. All opinions are honest and mine. |
