There was company over, but since they were interested in seeing what my excitement was about, I opened it in front of them and showed both the boxes off. First was LootCrate. First off I saw the Mushroom Kingdom Racing cinch bag, I LOVED it! This alone made the LootCrate worth it. Unique items are
always awesome, especially Mario gear! The rest of the loot was inside the bag, I had glanced at the info card, and 2 of the items this month were blind-bags (one of a series of different characters) and they were both Street Fighter themed. We got the Chun-Li miniature, and the Ryu Vs. Sagat keychain. I also
liked the Space Invaders candy tin. We collect the game themed candy tins, with Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, and Pac-Man already in our collection. I'm happy to add this cool upright arcade style tin to the mix! We collect alot of small, decorative knick-knacks, so we have several knick-knack shelves, full. Another cool, unique item was the 8-Bit Zombie arcade token. It feels like an arcade token and has a cool set of designs on both sides. The last 2 items were Retro game candy. One, not a small package, just one gummy hamburger, and one IBC Root Beer Barrel, both from Candy Warehouse. Cute touch, but just one of each, kinda disappointing. To me the value of the unique items far outweighed the (really only slight) disappointment from the single candies. Even though the box is actually for A.J., I ended up liking the box more than him, for now.
I totaled up the items I could find and just the 3 items I found totaled $22.30. The unique items, like the cinch bag and the arcade token were probably worth at least $10. so I'm totaling this to be worth (at least) $32.00.
At $11.67/Month +$6.s/h. is definitely working out for me!
The other box was the Pawalla Cat Mini box. I was very happy with this box! When I opened it I saw the attractive green can of Sojos catnip. This box couldn't have come at a better time, since we ran out of Cat Greenies a few days ago, and I haven't been able to go to Tractor Supply and get more. He hasn't been happy with me. But now I'm redeemed! Two different treats came in this months box. Pet Greens Crunchy cat treats-Seafood Salad flavor, and Bench and Field Holistic natural feline treats. And the final item was Spot Eco Natural Pillow Toy. I gave Jack the "mouse-like" cotton pillow toy. It's supposed to have catnip inside, he ignored it. I got his catnip tray out and dumped out the old cheap catnip that he had been ignoring for months, and I was too lazy to remember to dump out. I popped open the can of Sojos catnip and he instantly started sharking me, pacing back and forth underfoot. I poured a generous pile onto his tray and he went to town! He rubbed away for a good 10 minutes, way longer than the cheap stuff! He was covered in catnip by the end of his frenzy. I tossed the pillow toy in the tray with him and he tore into it! Ok, the toy IS useable. Instead of suffering the wrath of a frisky catnip kitty, we decided to let him go terrorize outside. He was gone for hours. Apparently Sojos catnip is a hit with Jack! I fed him some Pet Greens crunchy cat treats. I guess Seafood Salad is good, because he ate all six treats I laid out for him. Today he got to try the Bench & Field Holistic natural feline treats. He liked these also. Perfect! Everything is useable from this mini box.
I'm very pleased with the fact that I got a great deal too! I only paid $79. for my subscription to Pawalla because I used coupon code FLOPPYCATS to reduce a six-months subscription by $5. So it's like I got my first box for $9. and the rest at the reduced rate of $14. for 6 months.
I totaled the items in the box to be worth $19.11, well worth the $9. I paid for this months box!
