I recently received this Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara, complimentary from Influenster, to test out and review. It came in the Rose VoxBox, along with four other beauty and comfort items. I haven't tried any Rimmel London products before, so I didn't have an opinion of the brand. Now that I've got to try it out, I have to say that I'm impressed! I liked how it fanned out my lashes, making them feel soft, and volumized. I have had a problem in the past, with other cheaper mascaras, with my eyelashes and eyes getting itchy, and a lot of my lashes would just fall out! But not with this mascara! Totally hydrating, and comfortable to wear. Now Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam is part of my beauty routine. The wand tip is kind of a tapered hourglass shape, which is unique to me. It's a new product, just hitting shelves in November '13. I like that I got to try out a new product! Unfortunately. I don't have any beauty application secrets to share. It's so easy to use, and it works great, so it doesn't need any tips or tricks in my opinion! *I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I recently received a pair of Dr. Scholl's For Her Cozy Cushions complimentary from Influenster as part of the Rose VoxBox. It had five different beauty and comfort items to test out and let everyone know what I think. I was so excited to see these in the VoxBox. I've tried out the Dr. Scholl's gel inserts before and love them. Having some fuzzy and warm insets was definitely new to me. They came at the PERFECT time though. Texas has been having the crappiest, wet, cold weather in a while! Having to go outside produces cold, uncomfortable toes. But when I put these in my outside work boots, they instantly became warm and comfy. LOVE! The soft plush, fuzzy fabric doesn't shed, and isn't too thick. The undersides are a soft rubber material that is great for putting in boots! One thing I didn't like so much about the gel insert kind was the peel and stick method of putting them in your shoes. But these Cozy Cushions, with the rubber soles, slid right into place, and don't move around! The material was also easy to cut to size. The instructions were practically unnecessary, since the shoe sizes are printed on the bottom, and they provide a cut along line as a easy guide for sizing it. I love this product and totally recommend it! The listing price is $12.49 and Dr. Scholl's are widely available. *I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I received another VoxBox complimentary from Influenster! This time I got the Rose VoxBox, filled with great beauty and pampering products. There were five different items, and a lucky few got a sixth item, a bottle of Vitabath Hydrating Lotion. Unfortunately I didn't get it! But, I loved all the items I did get, and am happy to share what I thought about all of them. I've already received a Mary Kay VoxBox, complimentary from Influenster, and I loved all the products! Go check out my review HERE. Ok, first up we have Kiss Gradation Polish Set in Exposure (gold). It is valued at $6.99, and is available at Walgreens (Funny thing about the Walgreens website, it's not listed as a Kiss Nail product, but a Broadway Nails product, it took me a while to actually find it on there). This was so easy to use, and looks beautiful! I've not always been the biggest fan of gold, but I'm definitely warming up to it lately, and I love how shimmery and polished this set makes my nails look. It's a set of three different polishes that you add in a certain order to achieve a ombre effect. Super easy, and so pretty. I can't wait to find the rest of the colors, which look just as beautiful from what I can tell! Next up, Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara. I've never tried any Rimmel London products before, and was impressed with how volumizing and plump my lashes looked after use. I also liked how soft and fluffy they looked and felt, instead of rock hard and almost stringy looking (like most mascaras I've tried). Another problem with other (cheaper) brands is that it makes my eyelashes and eyes itchy, and a crazy amount of eyelashes would fall out. But not with this, my eyelashes actually felt quite moisturized and I didn't have the loose lash problem, yay! This is a good value for being listed as $5.99, and it was just released in November '13, so it's nice to try out a brand new product! The wand is kind-of a tapered hour glass shape, which is unique. Also, I never use a eyelash curler, so this pic is how the mascara naturally fanned out my lashes. LOVE! Now we have Dr. Scholl's For Her Cozy Cushions. I've used Dr. Scholl's gel cushions before and loved them, but haven't seen any Cozy Cushions with the fuzzy plush, soft AND warm! These are listed as $12.49 for a pair, which isn't too much for some cozy and warm toesies. The cut to size instructions are so easy to follow, and it's not a difficult material to cut. It only took, maybe two minutes to cut both foot cushions to size 8 and insert them into my boots. I decided, since I wear them all the time, to put them in my Brazos work boots. Oh, my, gosh, they are sooo comfortable now! Soft, warm, and nicely cushioned. These came at a PERFECT time, too. We've been having ice storms, and freezing weather. Not something I enjoy, I actually like the warm weather. I'm also liking that they don't have any peel and stick function, the bottom is just a soft, cushioned rubber material that doesn't slide around. So in addition to the great beauty and comfort products,Influenster also sent a couple of yummy food items. First is belVita crunchy Blueberry Breakfast Biscuits. Listed as $3.69 for a box of 5 packets of 4 biscuits. I got one packet of 4 biscuits from Influenster. I've tried this product before and like them. We haven't bought any recently, but getting them in my Rose VoxBox has definitely got me thinking of the other flavors! Apple Cinnamon, Chocolate, Golden Oat, and Cinnamon Brown Sugar. YUM, can't wait to track them down. When I opened my packet of Blueberry Breakfast Biscuits I ate them for breakfast with a cup of coffee. Which is really good for me, since I don't usually eat breakfast. ;) And finally we have Lindt LINDOR Milk Chocolate Truffles. These are listed as $3.99 for a 5.1 oz. bag, I received one truffle in a small bag. I have tried Lindt LINDOR chocolates before, and I like them. I really love the special holiday chocolates, like the umbrellas and bunnies for Easter, and the Santas, snowmen, and angels for Christmas. They are ALWAYS great stocking stuffers! Milk chocolate is my favorite type of chocolate, and this was pretty yummy! It's a milk chocolate truffle, the outside is a semi-hard shell, and the filling inside is creamy semi-soft milk chocolate, not liquidy or melty, just smooth, soft, and creamy. *I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
